This corner bookcase was automated using a Knudtson single rack actuator and a single HD drawer glide. A momentary rocker switch mounted behind the upper casing controls the actuator. A small sealed 12V battery powers the assembly, although we could easily have used an AC-DC converter and household electrical cord and plug.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 The idea was to build a corner bookshelf, but to be able to utilize corner space that would have otherwise been wasted.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 With the smooth operation of the Knudtson actuator, there is no need to remove items from the top of the corner unit.
